SMS Consent & Opt-In Disclosure

1. How We Collect SMS Consent
During the booking process on our platform, guests are presented with an optional SMS consent checkbox on the Guest Details step (Step 3 of 4). The checkbox is unchecked by default — guests must actively check it to opt in. SMS consent is not required to complete a booking.

We only send transactional SMS messages related to a guest's hotel booking. These include:
- Booking confirmations and updates
- Check-in and check-out reminders
- Pre-arrival information and instructions
- Post-stay follow-ups
- Responses to guest inquiries
We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.
4. Message Frequency & Rates
- Message frequency: Varies based on booking activity. Typically 1-5 messages per booking.
- Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
5. Opt-Out, Opt-In & Help
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving SMS messages. You will receive a final confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- Opt-in: Reply START, YES, or SUBSCRIBE to opt back in, or provide consent during a future booking.
- Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@hotelbooking.app.
6. Data Privacy & No Sharing
- SMS consent is not a condition of any purchase. Guests can complete bookings without opting in to text messages.
- We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to send messages related to the guest's hotel booking.
7. Supported Carriers
SMS is supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

"Your booking BK-AB1234 at Grand Resort is confirmed for Mar 15-18. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg&data rates may apply."
